You guys might enjoy this beautiful and haunting music.
Piano with flute and maybe the violin.
This late morning...
I walked to work and saw a kite soaring high above, carried effortlessly by the turbulent stormy winds, a dark silhouette against the greyish sky...
---
This late afternoon...
I walked to the train station and a kite soared, banked, weaved and swooped about 20m above me. I stood there for five minutes admiring its brown plumage tinged copper-gold in the late afternoon sun against a clear blue sky...

( Vegetarian shark's fin soup )
I'm tempted to take a day when I have time to cook this version of the shark's fin soup (or any other shark's fin soup BASE without the fins), coerce my parents into eating it, and then weaning them off eating or ordering shark's fins any time we go to a Chinese restaurant.
The last time I told them not to order, I got scolded.
Time for a second try.

I just started my third week working part-time at Sacred Space.
Today, my boss gave me a packet of loose white sage leaves.
Yay. =)

Saw either a brahminy kite or a white-bellied sea eagle today, barely ten meters away, in the water having caught a fish in its claws. Then it spread it wings wide, and then took off.
It was absolutely beautiful.

Did a slightly better form of terrariums again today with fittonias. I like them a bit better.

First attempt was sadly lackluster.

I went to buy the lottery today. By law, no one under 18 can buy it.
The teller asked for my ID.
She thought I was only 14, or 15.
-_-

So, I mentioned some posts ago that I'm still a partial skeptic when it comes to the metaphysical effectiveness of crystals and stones. While I am open to the idea that they contain certain qualities, I haven't been really shown their effectiveness yet.
However, because my guide had requested I take out the lapis pendant a friend bought for me a few years ago, I took it out. I decided to bring it along on my trip to wear it, just for fun.
This is the second time this thing has happened.
Two, three days into wearing the lapis, my forehead started feeling fuzzy. Not on the physical plane. The fuzziness moved from the top portion of my forehead, to encompass my whole forehead, to right between my brows, and is now exhibiting a general tension and fuzziness in my forehead despite me having taken the pendant off about four days ago.
Any ideas on what's happening? It's a bit annoying and I want the fuzziness to go away. Kinda like a psychic soft toy brushing against me.

Warning: Picture heavy.
Cooler pictures to come a few days later when the rest of the group comes back (I came back a day earlier). I'm waiting for my waterfall abseiling pictures, and those of the white water rafting ones...

Days 1 and 2: We stayed at this place called Adeline's Resthouse in Gopeng, Ipoh, Perak. This section is modeled somewhat after villages. Since there were six of us, the family of four took one hut, and S and I took another. Ours was built over a small flowing creek.
( Adeline's Resthouse )
Days 3 and 4: We travelled up to Cameron Highlands. Temperature was awesome. But warmer than years before.
( Cameron Highlands )
Day 5: Didn't take pictures of KL. Waiting for pictures from friends.

This phrase stuck very clearly with me when I woke up from my dreams this morning:
"(Only) The desert nourishes so that the living can wait their turn..."
It might have been the end-part of a sentence, hence the (only). But it might have been a sentence on its own.
Feels like I should know what it means. But I don't. Typical dream-thingies.

This image is just to show how much recyclable waste that can be accumulated in a household of six people in less than a month.
In the bag are paper packaging, plastic bottles, plastic bags, etc. Anything that is listed as recyclable on that big green bag containing all the stuff, we put in.

So, well, be conscious of the supposedly waste products in your homes. Bring to the community recycling bins (for Singaporeans living in HDB estates, I believe there are large rectangular blue bins with yellow tops [or something] which serve as recycling bins) or stuff.

Wanted to share with you guys the 'weirdness' but awesomeness of this plant I bought today. The leaves are thick and fuzzy like a succulent's.
When my plant was IDed in the gardening forum I put the pics up in, I went to Google up a picture, and the flower looks like this:

My plant currently looks like this:

=) Fuzzeh.

Any opinions on whether crystals work in spite of beliefs, or because of beliefs?
Just an open discussion because a few friends recently bought crystals and that aroused my interest in this question. I'd be most eager to know your opinions.

Okay, I'm having a delayed childhood/teenage-hood moment catching up with me right now.
This is bad, I think.
I'm having a REALLY bad crush on Daryl.
And it's making me all nervous-hyper-stuff and my bipolar friend commented that it was like a manic state.
And the thing's going inside my head right now is ohshitohshitohshit...
-_-
I suppose I shall just enjoy this moment and then let it go after that. I am adult enough to know my boundaries and all.
Grr.

I went to examine my tea tree teenager plants today, and was horrified to find them infested with baby scale insects (these plants were NEVER exposed to other plants; I grew them from start to now in my room). Anything I grow from seed starts in my room, so they don't come into contact with plants from the garden. When I pried the scales away, I realized that ALL the scales were dead. Score for tea tree's antibacterial properties! (I think)
The bark has also started to flake, and it's quite cute to see. The tea tree is a member of a group of trees called the paperbark, I believe. Famous for having flaking bark. At least, I hope it's flaking bark and not a disease...

I finally took out my garbage enzyme and poured it through a strainer into two small bottles. When I first opened the lid, the strong smell of pungent apple cider vinegar wafted out. But after I poured it and strained it, it smelt pleasantly of oranges. =D
I used 0.4ml diluted with I don't know how much of water as a foliar spray on two plants: my vitex trifolia (which has been infected with scales); and on my tashkent spearmint.
Once I see results, I'll post it up.

According to my sister, my dad apparently heard the bell ringing this night. According to her also, he opened the door and stood there for a while staring outwards.
If I get to speak with him tomorrow, I'll ask him what he felt or what he was doing.
If I don't get to speak with him tomorrow, I'll cleanse and ward my whole boundary, anyway.
